Nutella Bites

So we are into a new year and christmas has been and gone. We were lucky this year - not too much chocolate to munch through, but Elly woke up tired and tearful, and the only way to be able to put her down was to promise nutella and toast. So I thought I’d try making an energy bite at there same time. This little gem is great for after exercise - the nutella does have a higher sugar level than the ingredients I normally use, so best consumed straight after exercise. It would however also combine as a great after school snack for the kids.

Cranberries, as we know, are an awesome tool for urinary tract infections, but did you know that oats are great for as siting our bodies when they are stressed. They help the adrenal gland function and nervous activity, and also provide energy, which we burn quickly when stressed. This makes this recipe a useful snack to help aid recovery, as well as being full of other sources of protein

If you are anything like my family, I am always finding ways to sneak a few hidden veggies in, and what better way than to disguise them as chocolate cookies. And, they fell for it, hook, line and sinker! Isla loved them as the photo proves. Just need to make them look a little more attractive next.
